History
I left a lucrative career as an HR Director to enter the hair and beauty industry as it called to me in more ways than one - I am creative and love to work with people and find no greater joy than helping someone feel good about themselves. I have developed my own non profit organization called Shear Love where I assist women (never a charge and and never accept tips) who are dealing with the effects of chemo or woman from my local battered woman's shelter to assist with a new look and identity) and do so as a way to give back to my community. If you are seeking a 'non salon' experience with a one on one stylist experience in a fun and vintage setting - and some intelligent conversation, give me a call, I'm the gal for you!
Specialties
I offer minimal chemically saturated beauty products with no compromise in result or longevity and can help you understand the issues with purchasing products made in the use. For example, any product can be labeled Organic if only 1 percent of the entire product is organic. The item can also state cruelty free even if it is not and there is no recourse to hold these companies accountable. The average US female is exposed to 30+ cancer causing chemicals a day in her shower and make up routine - it's no small wonder we are saturated in cancer, autism and nervous system disorders. Check out my web site at www.goodhairday.us for more info under the 'Toxic Beauty' button. Thanks for checking out my site and please also see my photo galleries of cut and color results from many of my cherished clients. Stay well and look fabulous - warm regards, Becky.
