Stone Soup Child Care Programs is a social welfare organization that provides homework assistance and custodial services for school-aged children. The organization uses public school sites and community resources to create before- and after-school programs for low-income individuals. Founded in 1986, it employs more than 350 professional child care employees who organize various enrichment activities and field trips. Stone Soup Child Care Programs conducts a variety of special events, such as sports, games and races, as well as talent shows and plays. It provides training sessions on topics related to nutrition and fitness. The organization serves over 4,000 children daily from nearly 80 schools in Southern and central California.
