History
Stencil was launched in the Fall of 2005 using an innovative process which creates graphics without the use of traditional screen printing methods. It's unique and distinctive look was embraced immediately by contemporary boutiques in the LA area, with 45 stores picking up the line within the first month ... including retail icon Fred Segal (Santa Monica & Melrose). Stencil eventually grew to over 400 stores, expanding into multi door retailers M. Fredric and Nordstrom. In the Spring of 2006 American Idol contestants Chris Daughtry and Ace Young were seen by over 30 million viewers wearing Stencil on back to back nights. The celebrity following continued that year with country western super star Brad Paisley, Wayne Gretzky , UFC president Dana White, TV host Joe Rogan (Fear Factor) and TV celebrity Joey Fatone.
