History
STEM Center USA was founded in 2011 and has been operating in Claremont, CA since 2015. The Rancho Cucamonga Center is STEM Center USA's second location and was opening in Fall 2019. STEM Center USA is led by Melissa and Lavanya Jawaharlal - an engineering sister duo. The Rancho Cucamonga site is led by Gio Perelli. Their instructor team includes driven, passionate collegiate students and recent grads who work hard to develop meaningful relationships with their students as they introduce them to new STEM concepts. Students come into the center on a weekly basis to create their own designs, code in various languages, and run experiments. For our younger students, the Early/Junior STEM program introduces children to simple machines, structures, and systems. Middle school and high school students take higher level courses such as soldering, computer aided design and 3D printing, and wearable electronics.
