History
Since the Volunteer Center - a nonprofit organization - resides in a building that was originally a real working mortuary that opened in 1929, we knew it would be the perfect, spooky setting for our inaugural Escape Room fundraiser, which ran for 5 weeks between 9/28 and 10/28/17. We've heard so many people in the South Bay say they would love to try an Escape Room, but they didn't want to drive to any of the options in the downtown Los Angeles area. We were and are so excited to give everyone in our community and beyond a chance to try this fun phenomenon, the first one in Torrance, all while supporting a great cause!
Specialties
This pop-up Escape Room is currently closed, until additional permits or another format can be obtained. We are proud of our reviews and thank the community for raising more than $13K to support our mission! The basement of the Volunteer Center's historic, Old Torrance building - a real former mortuary - is the setting for this first-of-its-kind South Bay fundraiser, mixing together local history with spooky, fictional fun!! You have 60 minutes to solve the puzzles and find the final clue to escape the room... but can you???
