For seventy-eight years the Sierra Madre Playhouse has been entertaining people from all over the San Gabriel Valley. In 1979 a group of actors from Arcadia moved in and brought it to its current incarnation: a nonprofit, non-Equity theatre that puts on a wide array of plays and musicals nine times per year.
In addition to staging classics from the likes of Neil Simon and Arthur Miller, the theatre focuses on its next generation of thespians; throughout the year, acting classes are taught by local working actors. The Playhouse welcomes private events and large parties.
