Founded in 1980 by celebrity chef Bruce Kanenobu, the Shogun Restaurant offers a full slate of teppan, sushi, appetizers and a variety of Asian-inspired chicken, steak and seafood entrees. In addition, Shogun offers an extensive selection of authentic sake and jizake rice, plum and raspberry wines. The restaurant s signature feature is its teppanyaki-style cooking where items are prepared on a tableside grill by a chef who dramatically demonstrates an array of knife skills. Shogun also features a revolving sushi bar. In addition to the original Shogun Restaurant in Pasadena, Calif., Chef Kaneobu operates four other Shogun Restaurants in Sand Diego, La Verne, Corona and Temecula, Calif.
