History
Shirley's has been a part of this community for decades. Providing a family friendly place for your dog and cat grooming needs. When Shirley retired, she handed over the reins to Judy, who has served this community with just as much love and care as her predecessor. Judy has shown a great skill in not only grooming pets safely, but also with great care to their individual needs. She has built many strong bonds through the years. Now the reins have passed again to Georgia. May Shirley's continue to meet the needs of this community and its pets for many more decades to come!
Specialties
We are by appt, which means we are attending one pet family at a time per groomer. We might be out and about while you call during business hours taking pups for walks. We will answer calls between 7am-4pm unless we are with a pet, but leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as we can! We do expect pets to be dropped off on time and picked up within 45 mins. of when we call to notify you they are ready. If you need to leave them longer, just let us know when you book their appt to make sure we can accomodate as space is limited and there is a day care fee. Here at Shirley's we accept dogs and cats. We use specialized shampoos to help meet the various needs your pet's coat demand. We also provide: nail trimming/filing, ear cleaning, toothbrushing, anal gland expression, and return your pet promptly. While we are trained in all breed cuts, we do appreciate your understanding that the needs of a household pet vary from those of a show dog. Your pet's breed might have floor length hair if it were to be shown, but here at Shirley's, we work with what length is most manageable and beneficial for your pet. The longer the coat, the more often brushing is needed. Even short-haired breeds like chihuahuas and labs benefit from regular brushing between grooming visits as it stimulates the coat and helps with circulation. Most pets can be groomed within 1hr and 30 mins. of drop-off.
