My Dad was teaching Real Estate in 1958 in Kentfield CA, but he took the class in 1957 when he was 16 years old because he need to make money for his family due to his Fathers death. Dad passed the Real Estate exam the day he turned 18 being the youngest in CA to get a License. Then my Uncle followed in my Dads footsteps, and now my cousins and brother and sisters have done the same.
