History
I worked in community-based mental health agencies for 20 years. For most of those years, I directed a program offering long-term individual and family therapy to children who were dependents of the court. I received a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish philology from the Universidad de Costa Rica and a master's degree in feminist psychology from New College of California in San Francisco. I completed the two-year supervision study program from The Psychotherapy Institute in 2009.
