San Lorenzo Library is part of the Alameda County Public Library system. It serves San Lorenzo as well as the unincorporated towns of Ashland and Cherryland. It offers a range of services, from homework help (Monday - Thursday, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.) to citizenship classes and job training. It also circulates more than 250,000 books, CDs and DVDs each year.
San Lorenzo Library is the county's oldest, founded on October 2, 1910. In the summer of 2010, the building, which was built in the '60s, underwent a first phase of renovations.
