The San Diego Humane Society has been protecting animals of all types since 1880. Today, it is the largest animal protection agency in San Diego County, offering a number of services. Its partnership with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has provided the agency with top resources in stopping and arresting those who mistreat animals. Additionally, it offers training classes for adopted pets, rescue for abandoned animals and training for pet-assisted therapy animals.
This location in the industrial park off of Airline Drive has a number of rescued pets for adoption. It also runs the sizeable dog park next door, which features separate spaces for small and large dogs.
