The dessert and snack café opened its doors in 2005 and became a big hit within the community, soon landing it in featured articles by L.A. Weekly and The Los Angeles Times. The café's original formula was saffron-infused ice creams, which then expanded to other exotic flavorful ingredients for its unique Indian ice creams. Saffron is actively involved in women's and children's charities and local high school community events. Saffron's flavored juices and faloodas are also popular drinks and desserts unique to this location.
