Formerly located in Palo Alto, the Church of Gnosis invites individuals with open minds to share with them their rituals, myths, stories, poetry and meditation, because, according to the Church of Gnosis, it is the best way to understand gnosis. The church describes itself as acknowledging the written scriptures of the old and new worlds, Eastern and Western civilizations, but it does "not consider any of them to be 'the word of God' or a final authority. We do not see them as 'God's laws,' but as men's laws."
