History
The Richmond Rod & Gun Club purchased the property where the club is located in 1951. It has been in continual business since then. Lifetime, Regular, and Associate Members have certain privileges not available to Non-Members. If you would like to become an Associate Member, please pick up an application at one of the ranges or in the clubhouse when it is open.
Specialties
We are a full service fishing and range club open to the public for several different types of target shooting. It is generally divided into the rifle/pistol static range, the action range, and the skeet/trap range. The rifle/pistol range is open 4 days a week (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 11:00AM-4:00PM. The last shooting period is 3:30PM. The range does not rent firearms (however we do sell ammunition in common calibers). For the first two hours of public days (9:00AM to 11:00AM), the rifle & pistol range are open to members only. Non-members are welcome to queue and be assigned a lane early if space permits. To visit the rifle range, from the main gate, make an immediate left turn. Please observe the stop sign entering the range and the 5MPH speed limit. Skeet and Trap shooting is available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00AM - 3:00PM (last round at 2:30PM). To visit the skeet/trap range: from the main gate, proceed past the club house (large building) and drive straight down for 2/10 of a mile. The skeet/trap range requires the use of steel shot which can be purchased at the club. Please observe the 5MPH speed limit. The action range is open for practice to qualified competitive shooters every Saturday from 9:30AM -1:30PM with a form of action competition nearly every weekend. The action range is located to the left of the main gate but behind the 25 yard line berm. Please park outside the action range.
