History
I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. From 2004-13, my clinic was located at 1452 Valencia St. In 2013, I moved to my current address. I attended the oldest college of acupuncture in the U.S., the New England School of Acupuncture in Boston, one of the most prestigious institutions in the field, receiving my Master's in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2003. While there I also completed a 5-level Craniosacral Therapy certification course. I received my Doctorate in Chinese Medicine from ACTCM in SF. I hold the further distinction of being a nationally certified Diplomate in Herbal Medicine, Oriental Medicine, and Acupuncture (NCCAOM). I continue my education in manual therapies, training in lymphatic drainage through the Upledger Institute. I was an acupuncturist at Quan Yin Healing Arts Clinic 2004-5. I volunteered for 3 years at the Charlotte Maxwell Complimentary Clinic in SF, a free clinic for low income women with cancer.
Specialties
By offering acupuncture in addition to craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, herbal medicine, and nutrition, I am able to address a wide range of health conditions and address the root of a person's problem in an integrative, foundational way. Doing so brings them back into balance, out of pain/illness, with increased energy and functionality in their lives. I offer a comprehensive treatment plan which is individualized for each patient. Everybody has a unique health history, constitution, and life experience that is as unique as their fingerprint. I provide compassionate, holistic medical care using the tools of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and bodywork based in Asian and osteopathic techniques. Asian techniques such as guasha and cupping are used, and the gentle yet effective bodywork techniques of craniosacral therapy and lymphatic drainage are incorporated as well. I am a nationally board certified herbalist with an in-house herbal dispensary.
