The Regional Kidney Stone Center specializes in the evaluation and treatment of kidney stones and related urological disorders. Its evaluation process includes Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP) and CT Scan, which are painless procedures that provide computerized tomography images of the abdomen. The center oversees a professional staff of trained nurses and board-certified anesthesiologists, as well as more than 35 urologists. The Regional Kidney Stone Center also provides comprehensive outpatient care through Extracorporeal Shockwave Lithotripsy (ESWL) and ureterscopy. The center is located in Pomona, Calif. The Regional Kidney Stone Center is operated by the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center (PVHMC), which is a nonprofit hospital that was founded in 1903 and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
