It investigates crimes against persons, homicide, robbery, assaults, forgery, automobile theft, real estate fraud and economic crimes. The Inglewood Police Department has a gang intelligence unit, motor section, traffic enforcement group and community affairs section. The department has operated since 1908. It is based in Inglewood, Calif.
