Ray became interested in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine while working in administration at St. James Infirmary (SJI) in 2009, where she witnessed the powerful therapeutic effects of Acupuncture within the marginalized communities served by SJI. Shortly after this first exposure to the Medicine, Ray began a lifelong journey on the path of holistic healing. Ray was certified to practice Massage in 2010, became a Medical Qigong Therapist in 2012, and completed her Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in March of 2014.
Specialties
Ray specializes in emotional and hormone balancing and management of chronic pain. Some conditions Ray successfully treats: Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, PMDD, Adhesive Capsulitis (frozen shoulder), Plantar Fasciitis, and wrist and elbow tendonitis, and surgery recovery. Ray is experienced and passionate about working with people with disabilities and those with variant genders. She offers sliding scale private sessions and hosts donation-based Qigong classes weekly as well as monthly community acupuncture clinics.
