HistoryAt first, Tigerfish was a one-person operation: I picked up cassette tapes and delivered printed transcripts by bicycle. After a few years of this, Tigerfish found a home in an office building right where North Beach meets Chinatown. As the business grew, the best team of transcribers and editors joined the company - many of these transcribers have been with us since the 1990s! Great transcription is not about converting sounds to words -- computers can do a pretty good job of that -- it's about the communication of meaning in context.
