About Potter ValleyThe Potter Valley community is separated from the adjacent rural valleys by a ring of mountains. The valley is approximately six miles long and two miles wide. The student population comes from the valley and surrounding mountains. Ukiah, the county seat, is the nearest large population center 17 miles to the southwest. The school provides the only developed recreational facilities in the valley and is the center for cultural activities.
