Plaza Tower, with a quarter of a century under its belt, provides fair housing for low-income individuals 55 years of age and older. The towers consists of 96 one-bedroom apartments for independent living. Rent is below market, at $876 a unit and a special rate on cable is offered at $18 a month for extended service. Meals can be purchased at $146 for one meal a day, five days a week. There is also a dining room available, as well as an outdoor patio with tables and chairs surrounded by shady trees. The hallways are wide and easy to manuever in wheelchairs or carts. The tower is connected via hallway to Concord Homes, another senior living facility for those 62 years of age and over.
