Started as a Rental Darkroom and Photo Studio, Photo Darkroom has evolved to become one of San Diego's premier Photography Studios and Custom Labs. With clients from a variety of industries, our photography is geared toward high-tech, bio-medical/ industrial industries and architecture businesses. Our Custom Lab evolved out of the need for the Professional Photographer to obtain high quality lab printing, including Giclee prints, and scanning services. Photo Restoration services were a natural off shoot in the digital age. Film & Video transfer and film/transparency developing & printing remain among our core services.

Photo shoots are held in our studio or on location using the most advanced photographic and imaging technologies. The PRO LAB serves the professional and semi-pro photographers offering the highest quality photographic prints. The PRO LAB offers B&W FIlm processing and provides a full range of services from photo retouching and photo restoration to Film and Video transfer to DVD services. For Artists requiring exact duplication of original artwork, the PRO LAB creates a digital file then make Giclee prints using the finest pigment based inks and printing on archival canvas to 40
