History
PMA Los Angeles is part of the Pacific Martial Arts Federation, founded by Grandmaster Jerry Devine. Grandmaster Devine is the chief instructor of the PMA Federation, director of the Martial Arts Museum of America, and an inductee into the Black Hall of Fame. The experienced staff of Pacific Martial Arts have been teaching authentic karate-do since 1978 and the Federation is 350 students strong and growing.
Specialties
Authentic karate-do specializes in character development and building inner strengths in addition to teaching effective self-defense. Our curriculum is based on Jason Knight's 20 years of experience teaching martial arts and counseling families. As a result, students develop as stable, positive and well-rounded individuals, often continuing their personal growth for years or even decades. Our students include community leaders in education, research, and business.
