Irish Communication Company
Irish Construction provides underground installation systems, including utility vault construction, conduit rodding and cleaning, paving, trenching, directional boring, concrete saying and asphalt planning and grinding for hospitality, government, industrial, retail, financial, military, education, utility and medical markets. Some company clients include AT&T, Cedar Sinai Hospital, Cox Communications and Disney Studios. Irish Construction was founded in 1919 by Edwin A. Irish. At the beginning of World War II, the company played an active role in the war effort by installing miles of conduit and direct-buried cable under the direction of the Signal Corps to serve the coastal defense systems. In 1985, the company formed Irish Communication Company to enhance its capabilities in communication system construction. Irish Construction s corporate office is in Rosemead, Calif., with other locations throughout Southern California.
