18 years ago, we opened Ozumo on the waterfront in San Francisco. Ozumo was the first of its kind: a 6,000 sq. ft. Japanese restaurant with award-winning design featuring a Sushi bar, Robata grill and a beautiful - and soon to be boisterous - Sake Lounge. Sushi and Robata? Sure. We believed there was no reason not to enjoy Sushi as well as other delicious dishes from Japan during your dining experience. We knew that Sake is best enjoyed chilled so we sourced from Japan the best brands they had. We felt that our wonderful local California wines would also pair perfectly well with Japanese food - revolutionary at the time - and were happy to see our customers agreed. We introduced Shochu spirits and signature cocktails such as our, now famous, Giddy Geisha and Sumokaze to boot! We've had a ton of fun and take great pride in our loyal customer base and continuing success in San Francisco for all these years. Now, we are honored and excited to join the vibrant Santana Row community!
