The Orange County California Chapter First Marine Division Association is a community of Marines and Sailors who have served or are currently serving, coming together as a family of warriors with a strong sense of Esprit de Corps. They meet at the American Legion Post 716 in Los Alamitos and welcome both members and non-members to join their meetings and events.
With a rich history dating back to its activation on February 1, 1941, the 1st Marine Division is the ground combat element of the I Marine Expeditionary Force stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. The division played a significant role in World War II, including the initial assault on Guadalcanal and Tulagi. The Orange County California Chapter honors this history and serves as a platform for camaraderie and support among its members.
