The Open House Senior Center, run by the City of El Cerrito, offers a daily lunch and a wide range of programs and services for seniors. Located behind the El Cerrito Library, it serves "the vigorous and independent person as well as the frail and vulnerable," according to the center's website. Its newsletter, the "50 Plus Bulletin," provides a calendar and listing of events, lunch menus, classes, excursions and more.
