Established in 1963, OPCC, also known as the Ocean Park Community Center, is one of the largest providers of housing assistance and community-based services for low-income individuals and families. It offers services for battered women and children, as well as people with mental impairments. The organization operates more than 255 emergency and transitional beds at six of its facilities and also provides rental subsidy vouchers for over 150 individuals. OPCC offers case management, mental health care advocacy, information and referral services. Additionally, it provides case management, crisis intervention, food, clothing, budget management and counseling services. The organization also maintains a trauma recovery group, as well as assists in the payment of relocation, medical, dental and psychotherapy service-related bills for the victims of crimes. OPCC offers training related to computers and job and independent living skills development. It maintains a presence in Santa Monica, Calif.
