SpecialtiesUplift Family Services helps over 30,000 children and family members recover from trauma--such as abuse, severe neglect and poverty--each year. The Los Angeles Region, anchored by the Hollygrove campus in the heart of Hollywood, helps the most vulnerable children and families in the Metro and South Los Angeles communities. Most families served live in poverty surrounded by violence; many have suffered traumatic experiences and consequent struggles with substance abuse, domestic violence, physical and mental illness. About 70 percent are Latino, including many recent immigrants from Central America who fear deportation. In these troubling circumstances, parents can struggle to meet their families' needs, and children can suffer from severe emotional and behavioral problems that interfere with success in school and the development of healthy bonds with family and friends. We do whatever it takes to offer hope and heal the whole family with a range of services offered at home, at school or in the community.
