The Claremont Rug Company on 4th street is the second outlet for the world famous (among antique rug collectors) rug company with which it shares its name. In business since 1980, the Claremont Rug Company carries a world-class collection of antique Asian rugs and carpets, tribal rugs and unique runners. Its specialty is rare, antique Persian rugs and carpets which are considered art-level antiques, as virtually all of the rugs date from the early-19th century through to the turn of the 20th century. Many of these rugs are considered investment grade purchases. The staff at the Claremont II are more than happy to educate clients and help customers or their designers select rugs that fit appropriatly to one's room and one's design taste.
