Founded in 1851, Notre Dame de Namur University is an independent, catholic, coeducational four-year master's university. It offers more than 30 undergraduate programs that are directed toward liberal arts education. It also offers master's degrees, credentials and certificates that are directed toward professional development and advancement. The university is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Located in Belmont, Calif., the university s facility covers an area of more than 50 acres that includes an art gallery, theatre and computer labs. Notre Dame de Namur University also features a gymnasium, 500-seat chapel, catering service, conference center, tennis courts and a swimming pool. Additionally, its more than 19,900-square-foot sports center accommodates a basketball court, cross-courts and pullout bleachers with a seating capacity of over 800 people. The university has an enrollment of more than 1,600 students and employs over 100 faculty members.
