Founded in 1981, Neurosciences Research Foundation is an independent nonprofit scientific research organization that undertakes various activities related to functioning of human brain in health issues and diseases. The organization conducts investigations in a range of areas of neuroscience that includes modeling of brain, spatial navigation, developmental neurobiology, auditory cortex and neuronal plasticity. Neurosciences Research Foundation s board of trustees includes representatives of the general public, as well as scientists. The organization is supported by gifts and grants from nongovernmental agencies, including individuals, foundations and corporations. Neurosciences Research Foundation is located in San Diego.
