History
Franklin W. Nelson has been practicing immigration law since 1994. Before forming Nelson & Associates in 2004, he was a partner at another law firm and ran its immigration department. Running a department within a general practice firm required compromises Mr. Nelson ultimately felt were not in the best interests of his clients. This realization led him to leave that firm and form Nelson & Associates. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Nelson focused on family-based immigration and developed particular expertise in marriage-based immigration and fraud waivers. He later expanded his practice to include business and employment-based immigration. He helped write the initial edition of the David Stanton Manual on Alien Labor Certification while working for Josie Gonzalez, a nationally-renowned immigration attorney and recognized Labor Certification expert. Nelson & Associates currently assists clients in both family and employment-based immigration matters.
