Napa Valley Community Housing is a nonprofit organization that offers affordable housing options for low-income families. NVCH has been developing properties and providing housing for families since 1978. Many people become homeless through no fault of their own. An illness, a death in the family, divorce or a layoff can alter their circumstances, and they find themselves out on the street and unable to find a safe and affordable home. This is where the housing agency steps in. There are strict guidelines to qualify, and once you qualify, the waiting list for housing is long. But available properties do pop up, so it's well worth the effort.
