Founded in 1889, National Association of Letter Carriers is the union of city delivery letter carriers employed by the United States Postal Service. It has 2,500 local branches in all 50 states of America, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Some of the departments include contract administration unit, legislative and political action department, retirement department and compensation department. The National Association of Letter Carriers is associated with the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations and the Union Network International.
