The Murrieta Chamber of Commerce got its beginnings in 1915 when local merchants would band together to take their wares to a farmers' market in Riverside. The chamber was later incorporated in 1960 and currently serves as a legislative advocate, a promoter of the community and a place for local business owners and community members to network. Murrieta Chamber of Commerce's offices were recently relocated to the Murrieta Mesa High School campus as part of a partnership between the business and education communities. The chamber is headed by Rex Oliver, who has served as president since 2001. A friendly office staff is always on hand to help members and prospective members navigate the aspects of Murrieta and its neighboring communities.
