MudWorks Pottery was conceived from a love of the humbling craft of clay and a desire to bring the therapeutic nature of the medium to all ages and abilities. We strive to encourage imagination and creativity by helping attune students to the processes of pottery so they can create magical things. Whether you're a complete beginner, coming to practice your skills for the day, or want more in depth advanced instruction, you'll find a blank canvas awaiting you. Our skilled instructors can guide any student to success with straight forward techniques. Our goal is to dispel the mystique around clay work and set students up to become independent potters. HistoryEstablished June, 2014 at 1242 Mason Street in Nob Hill with the dream to bring value and access back to art education. We began as a small pottery studio and art school full of local artists and community. Classes are offered by local and guest potters and our working studio space is full of bustling professional potters, creating away. Due to all the love our community has shared, we have moved into a larger space located only a few blocks away, 1618 Pacific Ave. Mason street remains but houses out out reach program for kids in the neighborhood.
