Monterey High School provides enrollment to more than 1,400 students, and is operated by the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. The school offer classes from grades nine through 12 in various subjects, including English, math, physical education, science, fine arts, social studies, health and language arts. The school also offers a variety of sports, such as cross country, field hockey, football, golf, tennis, water polo, basketball, soccer, wrestling, baseball, volleyball, swimming, and track and field. It offers extracurricular activities that include band, ceramics, choir, drama, music, orchestra, photography, and drawing and painting. The school has a library and a counseling department and is located in Monterey, Calif.
