Miyako Japanese Restaurant is an auburn-tiled restaurant and sushi bar, located across from the Capitola Mall. It has been serving the area since 1984, and many of the regular customers have been eating at the restaurant for more than 10 years, according to its owner, Sook Kim. Busy even on Monday nights, Miyako uses sushi-grade fish for its sushi and sashimi specialties. A popular luncheon buffet is served here every weekday. Among other dishes, Kim recommends the toro and uni (tuna belly and sea urchin).
