History
MCAS Miramar Memorial Golf Course is well-maintained and the greens are considered some of the finest in the area. MMGC was chosen as the site for the prestigious 2001 Armed Forces Golf Tournament. The ninth hole, a par five measuring 640 yards from the blue tees, is the longest par five in Southern California. The practice facilities include a large putting green, chipping green, practice sand bunker and pitching area. The 30-stall grass driving range is open from Tuesday through Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to dusk, and on Monday from 6:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. PGA golf professionals are on hand to fine-tune your playing skills, and a well-stocked pro shop is ready to take care of your golfing needs. Rental clubs, pull carts and electric carts are available for your convenience.
