Established in 1954, Milpitas Police Department is a city department that provides public safety to more than 65,000 residents of Milpitas City, Calif., within an area of over 13 square mile. Its records unit manages the public lobby information counter and offers fingerprinting and case preparation services. The department s records unit is also responsible for maintaining traffic citation files, processing parking tickets for traffic courts and microfilming hard copy records.
