Metropolitan News Company publishes seven California newspapers, including two in Los Angeles. Its flagship newspaper is the Metropolitan News-Enterprise, which was founded in 1901. A Los Angeles daily newspaper focusing largely on law and the courts, it publishes the Rules of Court of the state of California, Los Angeles County and other major California counties. The Sacramento, Calif.,-based Capitol News Service, founded in 1947, provides reports on state government happenings to news outlets throughout California. It also provides corporations service with weekly listings of new corporations in California and updated information on existing corporations. MNC, a specialist in legal advertising, operates Cal-Net (California Network of Community Newspapers) and NNN (National Newspaper Network), which process public notices. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Metropolitan News Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Grace Communications.
