Meltdown Comics & Collectibles is the largest pop culture emporium west of the Rockies with 9,000 square feet of space. Located on a famous part of Sunset Strip called Rock 'n' Roll Row, home to the Rock Star Walk of Fame, it carries mainstream, small-press and European comic books. A variety of coordinating accessories is also available, including collectibles, vintage Japanese robots, Kotobukiya Star Wars model kits, Transformers and exclusive Chicken Little vinyl toys. The "Baby Melt" section features Cheburashka and Hello Kitty by Doe merchandise, as well as baby clothes. The store even has a gallery, which showcases artists like Steven Weissman, who is responsible for the Bazaar Bizzare logos, and Johnny Ryan, creator, writer and illustrator of Angry Youth Comix. New shipments arrive on Wednesdays.
