Marin Head Start is part of the National Head Start program, offering low-income children and their families access to comprehensive educational, medical, nutritional and social services. This location serves as the administrative offices for the several Head Start classrooms throughout Marin County. Free to low-income families, Head Start offers partial and full-day care child care for infants up to five year olds, parenting classes and Family Advocates, who help bridge connections between the families and local resources. Funding for the program comes from Community Action Marin, a nonprofit that has aided low-income families in Marin County since 1966.
