This all-wood restaurant with a view of Soquel Creek serves authentic Mexican food and drinks, including quesadillas and margaritas. Little Tampico has been around for more than 40 years, but split ownership about 20 years ago and is no longer connected to the similarly named restaurant in downtown Santa Cruz. Current owners have had the restaurant since 1999 and sell meals for around $8 to $15.
The restaurant serves lunch Tuesday through Friday from 11am to 3pm, which includes an all-you-can-eat taco tostada buffet for $6.95. Little Tampico has won a number of awards, including Top 50 Hispanic restaurants in 2001 and 2002.
