History
Founded by Martha C. Radcliffe (1925-2010) in Moraga, California, Radclife & Radcliffe, Inc was one of the only mother-daughter law firms in the state of California. The office relocated to Pleasant Hill in 2009 after Martha retired. We practice family law (custody, visitation, child and spousal support, enforcement of judgments and modifications of current orders/judgments). Our philosophy is simple: Give clear, sound advice to clients, try to settle if possible but be an aggressive advocate if settlement is just not possible. We know that attorneys are expensive and keep costs at the forefront of our minds. Lisa J. Radcliffe lived in Iran between 1978 and 1982, has written a book about her experiences in Iran ( Pebbles in the RIce: My Life in Iran-available soon) and speaks passable, conversational Farsi. We welcome Farsi speaking clients as we offer insight into the culture and issues often present in their divorces
Specialties
We are a family law practice specializing in mediation, divorce, custody, visitation and support issues. We offer 1 hour consultations, currently by phone or ZOOM for $400, which is the current hourly billing rate as of 2020. We do not charge for follow-up questions submitted by email. We are a small, personal and responsive law firm. We believe in aggressive representation but do not shy away from promoting and facilitating settlements. We understand that dissolutions and custody disputes are fraught with emotion, and believe that by acting as conscientious facilitators we can guide our clients through that maze. Lisa J. Radcliffe speaks conversational Farsi and is familiar with the Iranian culture.
