KW Plastics is an international leader in polypropylene/ polyethylene recycling. It was founded 1981 by partners Kenneth Campbell and Wiley Sanders, Jr., the 'K' and 'W' of KW Plastics. The company was originally formed to recycle polypropylene. A second polypropylene recycling plant was opened in Bakersfield, Calif., in 1986, where injection-molding machines ranging from 350 to 1,000 tons were installed to produce new battery containers and custom parts from recycled resins. A new post-consumer and post-industrial plastics recycling plant started up in January 1993. This ultra-modern facility processes high-density polyethylene and polypropylene. KW Plastics' material is used in non-food grade applications.
