Kern Valley High School, located in Lake Isabella, Calif., is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. The school has a student strength of more than 700 students and offers subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, science, foreign language, fine arts and physical education. It also offers elective classes in agriculture, business, home economics, music, drafting and woodworking. The school additionally offers a variety of clubs and co-curricular activities for membership to interested students and coordinated by the associated student body. These clubs include Future Homemakers of America, Future Farmers of America, California Scholarship Federation, business club, Spanish club, Kern Valley Lettermen's Club, Cor. 15 Bible Club and drama club. The school s academic teams compete in the academic decathlon, Envirothon, and constitutional competition. The students also publish a yearbook and school newspaper. The school is affiliated to the Kern High School District.
