The Kern County Builders' Exchange, Inc was established in 1929 and is one of 29 Exchanges' operating in California. We are a non-profit organization of general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, manufacturers, suppliers and other closely related to the construction industry. The Builders' Exchange currently operates with a staff of four. Executive Director Roy Alvarez, Office Administrator Kimberly Kelley, Plan Room Administrator Linda Barnes, Office Associate Magdalena Pruneda along with our Kern County Builders' Exchange Board of Directors. As a non-profit organization we are governed by a Board of Directors which currently consists of 26 professionals in the construction industry. Our 2010 Officers and Directors are listed under "Staff" on our website www.kcbex.com. We purchased the building at 1121 Baker Street, where we have been located since 1986. Our location makes us part of Old Town Kern. We enjoy being an integral part of such a historic area in Bakersfield.
